) Korea Industrial Complex Corp. (KICOX) announced on 19th it would hold a groundbreaking ceremony of Jangseong Nano Industrial Complex on 20th in Jangseong, Jeonnam, with the officials of the local government and businesses attending the ceremony.

Although the construction has been at a standstill since the announcement of the development plan in 2007, recent investment and feasibility assessment enabled the complex to begin its construction.

The complex is expected to be constructed in the region of Jinwon-myeon and nam-myeon of Jangseong-gun, and the size of the complex is expected to be around 902,000 square meters. It will develop industrial and R&D infrastructure by accepting businesses of Nano Technology (NT), Information Technology (IT), Bio Technology (BT), and Environmental Technology (ET), which are closely related to Nano industry.

KICOX plans to invest some 126.8 billion won into the project.

The entire region of the complex is an ideal location as it is located within the Gwangju Innopolis and close to major industrial complexes, which may benefit the complex to build strong relationships with companies and related organizations such as universities or research institutes.

Meanwhile, KICOX announced the sales of industrial lots of about 382,978 square meters, and it would receive applications from 25th. The sale price is \203,000 per square meters, and companies in high tech industry such as IT, BT, NT, ET, and other manufacturing companies are eligible to submit applications.
