Jeonnam Attracted Six Companies in Medicine and Ne

According to Yonhap News,



Jeonnam-do (South Jeolla Province) has attracted six companies in the eco-friendly food, medicine, and new materials sectors.



Jeonnam-do held a KRW 31.9 billion agreement signing ceremony at the presence of Jeonnam Governor Park Jun-yeong, Jangseong County Governor Kim Yang-su, and representatives of six companies at the provincial office on April 14th.



Under the agreement, iCOOP will invest KRW 4.2 billion to establish processing and distribution facilities for organic food made from domestically produced wheat on the area of 14,000m2 within Gurye Yongbang Agricultural Industrial Complex.



Bukyung will found a factory for supplementary food on the area of about 4,000m2 in Bukil-myeon, Jangseong, and CJ Industry will build a production factory for corrugated boxes for packaging agricultural, maritime, and industrial products on the area of about 6,000m2 in Pungyang-myeon, Goheung.



E-co Industry plans to manufacture medicines and medical supplies on the area of around 5,000m2 within Hwasun General Industrial Complex with the investment of KRW 6.7 billion.



Provincial Governor Park Jun-yeong said at the signing ceremony “Jeonnam has comparative advantage in the eco-friendly, medicine, and new materials industries and has devised strategies to promote them. Thus, we will provide full support to companies operating in those sectors to make sure they succeed in our region.”
