Charter flights will ply between Yeosu and China during Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.



Yeosu City, Jeonnam-do (South Jeolla Province) said on March 15th that it would sign an MOU with Air China on the operation of chartered planes during Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea on March 16th.



The two parties agreed to run charter flights between Yeosu Airport and Chinese cities such as Yangzhou, Jiangsu, Shaoxing, Hangzhou, and Zhejiang, and to attract passengers of Korea-China routes of Air China to Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.



Representatives of relevant organizations participated in the MOU signing ceremony and promised to provide support in taking follow-up measures.



An official of Yeosu said “Chinese tourists are expected to take up a large portion in the number of visitors to Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea,” and added “we have taken one step closer to our goal to draw a number of foreign tourists.”
