According to Yonhap News,
The Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs announced on September 6 that it has designated three companies as corporate occupants in Gwangyang Port Hinterland Complex (140,340㎡) within the Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone.
The three companies are steel pipe manufacturer MSM Global, chemically tempered glass maker Chemical G, and logistics and transportation service provider Hanshin T&S.
This adds up to 23 companies located in the hinterland of Gwangyang port.
The Land Ministry is planning to expand Gwangyang Port Hinterland Complex ( 1930,000㎡) by 2011, transforming Gwangyang into the hub port of Northeast Asia.
