According to Yonhap News,
Korea’s indigenous flowers and plants will be exhibited at Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea.
The Organizing Committee of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, chaired by Gang Dong-seok, invited tenders to landscape Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea with native flowers and plants which are easily found in rural areas of Korea on December 14th.
The Committee said that the bid is designed to transform Yeosu New Port, currently filled with concrete and industrial sites, into a pleasant and comfortable exhibition location, which exudes a strong sense of Korea’s own nature. Visitors will get a sense of future sea and coastal areas at Yeosu New Port.
The final winner will be announced in next February.
Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea will be held for three months from May 12 to August 12, 2012 under the theme of ‘the Living Ocean and Coast’ at Yeosu New Port.
