According to Yonhap News,
The Mokpo municipal government announced on November 3 that it will forge an agreement with Gwangju Bank to provide financial support to companies that make investment in regional development projects.
Under the agreement, Gwangju bank will increase financial support and loans to regional projects in strategic industries including shipbuilding, logistics, food and beverage, ceramics, new and renewable energy, and low carbon green growth industry.
The Mokpo government will recommend companies to the bank, which will in turn provide preferential treatment to companies after its credential evaluation.
In particular, Gwangju Bank is expected to provide loans on 0.3% to 0.7% lower interest rates to green growth companies, save them from paying fees, and offer them benefits in the case of purchasing a bill of export or issuing an import letter of credit.
