Boseong Total Festival with the theme “Trip to Boseong in May” will be held May 1-6, combining various festivals for tea, pansori, catching fish and azaleas.
The Eve Festival Ceremony on May 1 will kick off with performances by popular singers as well as a 3D media performance and fireworks show. The following festivals will be part of the Boseong Total Festival: Boseong Green Tea Festival May 2-6, Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival May 3-5, Boseong Gizzard Festival May 4-5, and Illimsan Mountain Royal Azalea Cultural Festival May 4-6.
At Boseong Green Tea Festival, visitors will be able to experience tea-tasting, wearing hanbok, picking tea leaves, making tea and other tea-related programs at Korea’s biggest tea producing location. At Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival, visitors can watch a pansori competition as well as experience making traditional musical instruments, a doorplate and more. At Boseong Gizzard Festival, visitors can test their reflexes by catching fish with their bare hands. Finally, at Illimsan Mountain Royal Azalea Cultural Festival, visitors can enjoy beautiful azaleas as well as see a photo exhibition and experience programs such as cutting cypress trees, carpentry and more.
